Diatourin Android privacy policy
Effective: October 6, 2026
Diatourin operates the Diatourin Android app and its connected web service. This policy explains the data these services use. Contact the Diatourin team through our contact form for privacy questions.
Data we use
We process account identity, name, email and sign-in sessions through Clerk, including Google sign-in information when you choose it. We store information you provide: profiles and photos, languages, shared experiences, visited places, saved items, help requests, conversations, trip input and contact messages. Services also process technical information such as IP addresses, request details and error logs to operate and prevent abuse.
How we use data
We use data for sign-in, Traveler and Pro features, finding people with firsthand experience, saving preferences, delivering requests and messages, providing support and maintaining the service. When you use AI-assisted trip interpretation, your trip text is sent to the configured model provider to suggest filters you can edit. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.
Visibility and service providers
Shared profiles, public Stories/Moments, selected photos, experiences, author-approved catalog previews and eligible reviews are publicly visible. Private trips, full source itineraries, unpublished posts and saved items stay private. Travel history, coordinates and visit counts stay private unless you explicitly select records to share. Making your profile private hides its public profile, posts, catalogs and public photos. Blocking stops new requests, comments and messages while preserving readable engagement history. Messages are available to conversation participants; the team receives contact messages and coordination requests. Authentication providers (Clerk and Google when selected), hosting and network services (including Cloudflare), human verification, contact delivery, AI and map providers process data needed to deliver their features. Public maps may contact a map tile provider. We do not sell personal data or run advertising in the app.
Data on your device
The app stores preferences such as language and sign-in session information. The Android photo picker grants access to photos you select. The app does not request device location, contacts, microphone or full photo library access. Places you enter are not background location tracking. Data is transmitted using HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Account data and content are kept as needed to provide the service until you remove them or requested deletion is completed. Trip interpretation diagnostics are limited to seven days, encrypted and accessible only to operators. Account deletion covers authentication identity and associated data across web and Android. Limited records may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations; we will explain applicable exceptions and their duration to you.
Your choices and questions
You can update your profile and manage content in the app. Use the links below to request deletion of your entire account or specific data; sign-in is required before submitting a deletion request. For access, correction, sign-in problems or other privacy questions, use the contact form. Policy changes will be published here with an updated effective date.
